Zane Grey Biography

Zane Grey was an American author and dentist best known for his popular adventure novels and stories that were set in the American West. He was born in 1872 in Zanesville, Ohio, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry in 1896. Grey began writing as a hobby and his first book, "Betty Zane," was published in 1903. He went on to write over 90 books, many of which were set in the American West and feature cowboys, Native Americans, and the rugged wilderness. His most famous book, "Riders of the Purple Sage," was published in 1912 and has been adapted into several films. Grey died in 1939, but his work continues to be popular today.
