Henry Beam Piper Biography
Henry Beam Piper (1904-1964) was an American science fiction author best known for his series of stories set in the future history of humanity. He was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and was a prolific author, writing over twenty novels and numerous short stories. Piper began his writing career in the 1940s, and quickly gained a reputation for his detailed and well-researched stories. His most famous series is the "Paratime" series, which is set in a parallel universe where humanity has discovered the ability to travel through time and space. Piper also wrote a number of stories set in the far future, including the "Terro-Human Future History" series. He died in 1964, leaving behind a legacy of science fiction stories that continue to be enjoyed by readers today.
