Aristotle was a Greek philosopher, scientist, and student of Plato. He was born in 384 BCE in Stagira, a city in northern Greece, and died in 322 BCE in Chalcis, a city on the island of Euboea. He studied at Plato's Academy in Athens for 20 years and later founded his own school, the Lyceum.
