Richard Le Gallienne (20 January 1866 – 15 September 1947) was an English author and poet, associated with the fin-de-siècle literary movement. Born Richard Thomas Gallienne in Liverpool, he later adopted the French-style surname "Le Gallienne." He attended Liverpool College and initially worked in an accountant's office before pursuing a literary career. His early works include My Ladies' Sonnets (1887) and Volumes in Folio (1889).

           

Le Gallienne was a contributor to The Yellow Book and a member of the Rhymers' Club, connecting him with prominent literary figures of his time. He was known for his romantic and aesthetic writings, with notable works such as The Quest of the Golden Girl (1896).

           

His personal life included three marriages and fathering two daughters, one of whom was the actress Eva Le Gallienne. In his later years, he resided in France, where he continued his literary pursuits until his death in 1947.
