Kathleen Thompson Norris (1880-1966) was an American author and journalist, known for her popular novels and short stories. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and began her career as a journalist, working for several newspapers and magazines. In 1908, she published her first novel, "The Story of a Whim," which was followed by many others. She quickly became a popular and successful author, known for her stories of romance, family, and everyday life. Her most famous works include "A Man's World" (1912), "The Beloved Woman" (1914), and "The Four-Poster" (1919). Norris wrote over 50 novels and several collections of short stories, and her works were translated into several languages. She was also a pioneer of serialization in magazines, her novels were often serialized in magazines before being published in book form. She died in 1966 in California.
