Joseph Crosby Lincoln Biography

Joseph Crosby Lincoln (1870-1944) was an American novelist and short story writer, best known for his works set in coastal Massachusetts. He was born in 1879 in Brewster, Massachusetts and grew up in a coastal community. He began writing in his early twenties and published his first novel, "Cap'n Eri," in 1902. Throughout his career, he wrote over 50 novels and 200 short stories, many of which were set in the coastal towns of Massachusetts. His works often featured the lives and struggles of working-class people and fishermen. He was a prolific writer and had a wide readership during his lifetime. Joseph Crosby Lincoln passed away in 1944 in New York City.
